DESIGN PROCESS

Find out what you can expect when you work with Marty Johnson on an interior design project. While each project is unique, there is a common flow of activities that will take place in the design process. To help you understand that process, we have outlined them below:

Interior Design Services

Step 1: Getting to Know You – Accent On Design offers a 15 minute complimentary phone consultation to gather information about your project needs. From there Marty will meet with you in person to discuss the scope of your project in detail, specific design needs, space planning, traffic flow, budget, and fees.

Step 2: Moving Ahead – After taking detailed measurements involved in your project, Marty will develop the overall design concept and begin the process of selection of color scheme, fabrics, furniture fixtures, materials and finishes along with the design of built-ins, and custom furniture if needed. Upon the approval of the design concept, the next steps involve its planning and execution.

Step 3: Project Plan & Procurement – A schedule is made for purchasing and ordering work to be done by vendors, along with the final installation. Marty is always working behind the scenes to make sure all tasks and deliverables are tracked closely to keep the project on track.

Step 4: Delivery & Setup – Marty works directly with her team of architects, contractors, sub-contractors, landscape architects, furniture builders, and artisans to get the purchased items received and installed for the final walk through.

Step 5: Final Set-Up – Once the final set-up has been done, Marty will walk through the space with you and note any items that may need further attention. She will see that any such items are taken care of, and then the project can be considered complete.
